Silcarb Manufactures MoSi2 heating element as straight and bent elements in a wide range of sizes and shapes.
Two-shank MoSi2 heating element with straight terminals are defined by:
- Heating zone diameter, mm
- Terminal diameter, mm
- Terminal length, Lu, mm
- Heating zone length, Le, mm
- Center distance between shanks, A, mm
The most commonly used design is a two-shank U- shaped element (MOSIL (MoSi2)Straight Elements). The heating zone is welded to terminals which normally has a diameter double than that of the heating zone. MOSIL (MoSi2) Straight heating elements are manufactured to industry-established resistance values. The same spacing, power ratings, and voltages, used with other molybdenum disilicide elements can be used. The maximum length of the heating zone depends on the element temperature. They can be widely used in such applications as sintering and heat treatment on electronic ceramics, structural ceramics, magnetic materials, flameproof materials, glass, metallurgy, etc. All heaters that silcarb manufacture are interchangeable with kanthal super 1900, i2r, i-squaredr and super kanthal 1800.
